Local Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program

The ombudsman represent individuals receiving long term care in a nursing home, assisted living facility or through community based services. This service advocate works to protect and improve the quality of care and life individuals in long term care are receiving, assist individuals in asserting their rights and provide education and information. A complaint counselor is provided to empower individuals to express their concerns; receive and investigate complaints about nursing homes, assisted living facilities and community based services and identify, investigate and resolve complaints made by or on behalf of residents.
